Errinundra Old Growth Walk

Experience the grandeur of old growth forests in Errinundra National Park. Walk along ancient Aboriginal ridgeline routes among giant trees, cool rainforest and the oldest and largest Shining Gums known to exist.

Distance: 5km return
Duration: 2 hours 30 minutes
Grade: Level 2–3
Level 2 – No experience required. The track is hardened gravel or compacted surface and may have a gentle hill section or sections and some steps. Walks up to 10km.
Level 3 – Suitable for most ages and fitness levels. Some bushwalking experience recommended. Tracks may have short steep sections, a rough surface and steps. Walks up to 20km.
Start: The Gap Scenic Reserve car park
Finish: The Gap Scenic Reserve car park
Getting there: Errinundra National Park is 373km east of Melbourne via Princes Highway (A1). Take the Bonang Road north from Orbost, travel 82km via Goongerah to the Bendoc–Orbost Road (Gap Road) and turn right. Follow this road for a further 4km to the signed car park (14km south of Bendoc).
