Starting in the coastal town of Marlo, this walk explores the lower reaches of the Snowy River estuary and links to the ocean beach opposite Frenches Narrows. There are elevated views of the estuary, river mouth and coastline to Point Ricardo and boardwalk sections to watch birdlife and other inhabitants of the backwaters and wetlands.

Distance: 5.1km one way
Duration: 1 hour 40 minutes
Grade: Level 1 (Marlo to Mots Beach) – No experience required. Flat even surface with no steps or steep sections. Suitable for wheelchair users with someone to assist them. Walks up to 5km.
Level 2 (Mots Beach steps to Ocean Beach) – No experience required. The track is hardened gravel or compacted surface and may have a gentle hill section or sections and some steps. Walks up to 10km.
Start: Corner of Marlo Road and Jorgensen Street, Marlo
Finish: Frenches Narrows car park
Getting there: Turn off Princes Highway (A1) at Orbost onto Marlo Road (C107). The walk can be accessed from a number of points in Marlo between Jorgensen and Mills streets (car parking at Sampsons Lookout), via the Mots Beach car park (2km east of Marlo) or via the steps from the Frenches Narrows car park (3km east of Marlo).
