You can take a ferry from Docklands to Geelong (1 h 30 min). Alternatively, you can take a ferry from Docklands to nearby Portarlington (1 h 10 min).

 

 

Melbourne to Geelong by Train

VLocity Train

Regular train services depart from Southern Cross Station throughout the day heading to Geelong. It is within the Myki area and if you don’t have a Myki card you can buy a paper ticket. The Myki adult fare is $13.60.

Geelong Railway Station is located centrally and it is easy to walk to most places or easy to catch a taxi or bus. The Myki card works on local area buses in Geelong and you can use ptv.vic.gov.au for journey planning on the local buses or see the map below
